From the following Submissions which gives highest weightage?Which is best method for getting backlinks?
Forum posting / Directory submission / Article submission /Blog Posting.

Just wanted an opinion.

Imo articles since they are only 1 level deep to get to your links..directories can sometimes be 4 clicks in to find your link through the categories as well as forum posts. All methods are worth while though, as well as social bookmarking.

I'll go for Blog posting then forum posting, article submission and last directory submission.
